Tomorrow’s Pharmacist, part of PJ Online which is itself part of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, asked us to help them create an online revision tool for student pharmacists to prepare for their registration exams. The result was www.ontrackpharmacy.com, a website built on an extensive and specially created database of questions, presented in multiple-choice format. Students pay for access to the site, where they can select how many questions they wish to answer –questions are chosen at random, the ratio of question types reflecting the ratio the students will encounter in the exam itself. Students are given the answers at the end of each session –for those they get wrong a correct answer and explanation is given and links are provided for further reading. The website has proven highly successful, and a rapid take-up among target users has represented a very healthy return on investment.
