Downton is a craft brewery in the New Forest, brewing exceptional ales since 2003. They needed to update their branding and packaging to appeal to wider audiences, whilst retaining elements of the existing visual identity. 

After reviewing hundreds of competitor brands we redeveloped Downton's brand, retaining but evolving the chimera image for use across beer taps and packaging. The contemporary design appeals to the established craft and emerging ale markets. 

"The old Downton Brewery brand has served us very well over the past 15 years but we wanted something fresh and modern to take us through the next 15. The Chimera (part lion, goat and snake) is central to our old brand and part of our DNA, so we wanted to reflect that and the designers at Redwing have done an incredible job".
