A typical eCommerce project lifecycle

Analyse

We’ll set up a discovery session to learn about your business in more detail, including your market, customers and competitors. Next, we’ll benchmark competitor websites and audit the customer experience on the current website. We’ll also prepare an SEO report to identify how visitors are finding your website.

Prototype

Insights from the research will be used to design the website’s navigation, structure, and interactions, which will be presented as interactive wireframes. We’ll then produce designs for the new website as it will appear in both mobile and desktop form, guided by the wireframes and establishing a clear and bold direction.

Build

Upon approval of the website visuals, we’ll create an internal development brief and pass all assets over to the development team, encompassing front-end and back-end developers. We’ll then create your website, integrating the specific functionality agreed upon and fully testing each area of the code.

Refine

After building the website and associated functionality, the website will  be handed over to you for review and final testing, and full training in the use of the CMS provided online, after which you'll be able to refine and edit the content. This stage also offers an opportunity for feedback, UAT and final bug fixes from the development team.

Launch

When testing is complete and you’re happy with the content and performance of the website, a launch date will be agreed. We’ll supply a launch plan with the steps we’ll need to take outlined, as well as any steps you’ll need to make, such as domain configuration that we can also assist with.

Evaluate

For the first month after launch we’ll provide hypercare – intensive support to ensure that help is available to you as a priority. Beyond hypercare we provide continued support for the website, to the high standards for which we have become recognised.
