Our relationship with Marlborough College spans over 15 years. The college uses our bespoke course booking software, Resirva, which was originally developed for Marlborough. Resirva is designed specifically for language schools and summer programmes, moving the entire enrolment process online. It centralises data collection, automates administrative and operational tasks, and provides real-time reporting, making it easier to manage courses, students, accommodation, travel, and finances efficiently.
The challenge
Marlborough College runs summer courses for children and adults, covering a wide range of academic and extracurricular subjects. Managing this complex operation offline led to inefficiencies, duplicated work, and frequent data errors.
Paper-based enrolments, spreadsheets, and manual tracking made it difficult to maintain accurate records, oversee course allocations, and coordinate accommodation and travel.
The college wanted to move the entire summer school enrolment and management process online.

Bringing the summer school online
The entire summer school operation is configured within Resirva’s administration environment, including courses, accommodation options, pricing, and logistics. This information populates the public-facing admissions website, drives the enrolment workflow, and provides a centralised framework for school management. Applicants browse live course information and begin their applications on the fully integrated platform. Marlborough College chose Resirva’s Pro tier, which includes a fully integrated website rather than a standalone application process. The Marlborough model formed the foundation of Resirva itself, providing a tested, proven solution to the challenges of managing a complex summer school digitally.

A user-friendly checkout process
The checkout process is designed for flexibility and convenience. Users can assign multiple course attendees to a compiled course shortlist before booking, and then select accommodation, travel options, and optional event tickets in one streamlined transaction. Both individual and group bookings can be completed efficiently in a single checkout process, with secure payment handled directly through an integrated payment gateway.

Powerful course search and filtering
Courses are displayed clearly on the front end, with detailed descriptions and enhanced search and filter functionality. Applicants can quickly identify suitable courses based on age, subject, or duration, ensuring they can find the right options with minimal friction.

Flexible course structure
Courses are organised into modular course blocks, each with a specific learning focus. Marlborough staff can create, edit, and manage multiple courses through the CMS, building a flexible course library that can roll over year on year.

Resirva captures all enrolment and booking data accurately, providing detailed reports across course registrations, travel and transfer lists, attendance registers, and financial activity.
