Xpertise Recruitment are a rapidly expanding tech recruitment consultancy. They commissioned Redwing to build a new website that would more effectively engage their different user types, while offering excellent SEO and integration with third-party database systems. The success of the project has enabled their expansion into global markets.
The challenge
Xpertise approached Redwing seeking a complete transformation of their digital presence.
They needed a website that would become the “first resort” for both candidates searching for technology roles and organisations looking to hire specialist talent.
After working with another agency without achieving the desired results, they required a strategic partner capable of delivering a solution others could not.
Internally, the relationship between the existing website and their job application software was slowing down their workflow. Xpertise needed a fully integrated, future-proof solution that would support both marketing performance and operational efficiency.
The new platform needed to articulate Xpertise’s brand values through high-quality content, engaging imagery, and purposeful functionality, all wrapped in a seamless, first-class user experience. Their existing site structure was failing to guide users effectively, leading to significant drop-offs before CV submissions or job applications were completed. Organic visibility was also underperforming, limiting inbound opportunities.

Focusing on key audiences
UX research and stakeholder consultation enabled us to centre the website architecture around two primary user groups: clients and candidates. We designed clear, purpose-led journeys for each audience, ensuring messaging, calls to action, and content hierarchy aligned precisely with their needs. This dual-focus approach reduced friction, improved engagement metrics, and increased completed applications and enquiries.

An honest, human-first offering
Although operating in the technology recruitment space, Xpertise wanted their website to emphasise the human relationships at the heart of their business. We introduced “Meet the Team” sections across the site, showcasing consultants’ personalities, expertise and sector specialisms. This humanised the brand and reinforced trust. We also ensured service pages clearly communicated:

Streamlining the workflow
We integrated the website directly with Xpertise’s existing job portal, LogicMelon. This ensured that roles added within LogicMelon automatically populated the website in real time. Through a secure API integration, candidate applications submitted on the website are transferred seamlessly back into LogicMelon for onward management. This eliminated duplication of work, reduced administrative overhead, and allowed consultants to focus on delivering value to clients and candidates. The result was a fully connected recruitment ecosystem that supports both marketing and operational teams.

An advanced, integrated job board
To deliver a best-in-class job search experience, we integrated Meilisearch, enabling fast search results and advanced filtering functionality. Candidates can refine roles by sector, salary, contract type and more. A postcode lookup API allows users to find positions within a defined radius of their location, improving relevance and usability. Additional features include:
- Visual indicators for previously viewed, saved or applied roles
- User accounts with pre-populated application forms
- Personalised job alerts

SEO improvements
SEO was fundamental to this project. We implemented a mobile-first design approach to ensure optimal crawlability and indexing by search engines, and made other key improvements. The result was increased organic visibility, higher rankings for competitive technology recruitment terms, and sustained inbound traffic growth.

Event management
To differentiate Xpertise from competitors, the website allows for promotion of networking and industry events. This has helped to position Xpertise not just as a recruiter, but also firmly within the technology community. Dedicated event pages allow users to discover upcoming networking opportunities, and how to register attendance.
