Pharmaceutical Press, part of The Royal Pharmaceutical Society, is an internationally respected publisher of pharmaceutical reference content. We were asked to build an online exam-preparation portal - ONtrack - for graduate pharmacists about to take their professional registration exams. Our relationship with the RPS spans 25 years. During this time, ONtrack has secured the engagement of pharmacy students as they transition into professional practise.

Our solution

A ground-breaking online exam-preparation portal. At the core of the ONtrack platform is a large question library, which is continuously being updated and added to as best practise dictates.

Subscribing pre-reg pharmacists are able to set up practise sessions, answer questions, and then review their answers. The system analyses the pharmacists’ results to identify areas of weakness and suggest resources to address those weaknesses.

Self-test question sessions simulate the structure, content and question formats found in the GPhC registration assessment, enabling students to identify areas where they need to improve knowledge and understanding.

Question management within the enables questions in the formats found in the GPhC assessment - MCQ, EMQ and single best answer - to be created and updated.

A responsive interface, in line with Pharmaceutical Press branding guidelines.

Sophisticated subscription management and associated e-commerce methods.

Code which ensures that each practice session always delivers a representative mix of questions. Questions answered correctly are never re-presented.

Detailed reporting enables Pharmaceutical Press to monitor responses to questions, providing insights into areas where graduates need additional support.

ONtrack uses our custom-built CMS. They easily edit content, and manage the entire website including the question library and user records.
